I can’t even tell you how hot it’s been here. I have BARELY been able to manage lifting the ice cream spoon from the bowl to my face – surely you didn’t expect me to type in this weather?? ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN in L.A. And just slightly cooler than that here. Today is marginally better so I’m wringing out a brief entry…
Our 5th Annual Cruzin’ Courses is just two weeks away, and I’ve been scrambling to get the website and brochure finished. Ta da! (Well, almost finished.) It’s going to be another great event, and best of all my MOM is coming! Can’t wait to have her along for the stroll.
One of the deliveries this weekend was a very fresh-looking cake, a welcome sight for wilting guests:
I loved the pale yellow and green, with tons of sugar blossoms spilling down the tiers. Then we bolted down to Big Sur on Sunday afternoon for a quick hike along the ocean:
It’s nice to remember how lucky we are to live here. (Despite all my whining.)
