Cake Tuesday: cool green.
So all five tiers and I made it safely on the plane - PHEW. And the staff at the Ritz were all unbelievably nice, and my boxful of delicate sugar shamrocks even arrived intact! I didn't get a good picture, but other people did and I'll share one soon.
In the meantime, here is another green and white combination that I really love:

The rows of buttercream dots in graduated sizes make a textural ribbon that is a little more complex than just one made from sugar, and the deep green perfectly matched the green accents in the flower arrangements.
Sorry these are so brief - I keep thinking I'm getting a little ahead of the hectic and then it sneaks up and knocks me over, demanding all my time. As soon as I can take a break I'll post a real update. And maybe even do some laundry.
