Cake Tuesday: room with a view.
I love working in Carmel. It's an easy drive and it's always so spectacularly beautiful, with fog or sun. For a recent Carmel wedding I worked with one of the calmest brides I've ever met - every detail thoughtfully and stunningly executed. The small reception was at a private residence, itself well-planned, completely around the view (understandably):

The cake was three simple buttercream tiers, wrapped with ribbon matching the invitation paper, topped with a chocolate brown accent ribbon and gold beading.

China mum petals were scattered on the cake table, along with a couple of fresh blossoms.

I created a sugar chrysanthemum for the top of the cake, which was a challenge with so many petals but very satisfying, too.
