Cake Tuesday: chocolate heaven.
First of all, June. I cannot accept that year is half over. I reject it. I've only been on my bike half a dozen times, and haven't started my ocean painting, or fixed the dining room mural, or finished planting everything I want to grow in the garden. SLOW DOWN, aught-nine. PLEASE.
Secondly, cakes. I don't often get asked to cover cakes in chocolate ganache, but there isn't a more decadent finish if you're a chocolate fiend. The very best bittersweet chocolate, melted with organic whipping cream. Done.
It was a gorgeous rustic dark wood room, so the addition of the edible pearls helped brighten the cake a little, but there were no flowers, no topper. Simple and elegant, just like the couple.
