Cake Tuesday: classy.

Y'ALL.

I just walked in the door from teaching a basic cake decorating class to a group of amazing women.

It was SO fun (the southern accents helped - I miss home!), and they were SO talented. At the outset I asked who in the room had made frosting from scratch before. Maybe two hands went up. I asked how many people had frosted a cake before. Maybe five or six. Out of TWENTY FIVE. But give them a couple of tools and a little encouragement and they're producing total cuties:

And lovely, simple designs:

And some whizz-klonk crazies (to borrow a phrase):

But every single one was beautiful, and the personalities were quite distinctive. The fabulous Kathy Koehler of Group Active put everything together - if you're looking for a group outing of any sort, she can make it happen. Apparently this group had a choice between cakes or golf lessons. (I'm certain the fact that it was ONE THOUSAND degrees on the golf course had nothing to do with the size of my class...)

I mean, look at this writing! The girl's a total pro. I can't wait to do it again next week.

(Now I need a nap...)
