Cake Tuesday: valentine.

(Not that I'm in any way condoning the most over-hyped non-actual holiday in existence, but I AM in the wedding industry, and some might argue it's a bit over-hyped as well. And I'm a sucker for old-fashioned romantics. And pretty much anything pink.)

This couple's wedding invitation featured a drawing and poem by a very young family member:

I'm not usually a huge fan of pillar separators, but aren't these adorable? We wanted the cake to have the same playful, whimsical feel, down to the oversized hearts floating off the tiers.

So pink hearts it is. Regarding the weekend, Forget about Saturday - let's all focus on Friday the 13th instead. (Churchy LaFemme was always my favorite Pogo character. He would spend every Friday the 13th under the bed, just to be safe.)
