better.
I spent the last couple of days with a two-year old and a four-year old - highly recommended for mood-brightening. They're so creative and full of energy, not to mention unbearably adorable. I can't believe I left without taking a picture of the mural to date, but it will really look presentable when the cherry blossoms are added. Now it's sort of a big scary droopy bare-limbed tree, albeit full of owls and squirrels and fairy houses.
Betsy (mother of the adorables) gave me two books to read that I've been hearing about for months but haven't picked up - Water for Elephants and Eat Pray Love. I started with Water, because it looks more fun. And it is, so far - like Toby Tyler for grownups, full of heartache and adventure.
I just heard from my younger brother, who is currently living in China, working for Lenovo. He took a mini-vacation to Australia, and sent lots of pictures of lizards and fire ants and kangaroos. We were hoping to get over there to visit him before his stint ends, but that seems unlikely at this point. He's hoping to get another assignment there next year, though, so we'll try to work it out then.
