home again, home again.

I really do enjoy being in Santa Cruz, but it is hard to leave North Carolina when I'm there. And harder to leave my family. We had a great time with my brothers in Edenton, playing wii until the wee hours and eating pounds of local oysters and shrimp.

Thanksgiving was spent with my folks at their new home in Raleigh, which is completely gorgeous, and in a complex full of lovely people with great stories and humor and fun.

We saw an incredible production of Chicago, and tracked down pitmaster Ed Mitchell at his new digs to enjoy some of the best barbeque ever made.

And now I'm home, frantically working on the weekend's weddings. Hope your Thanksgivings were all full of great food and family.
